In 2015, First American sponsored 19 breast cancer awareness races across the country, supporting the cause by giving more than $125,000. Our employees raised more than $85,000 towards the fight against breast cancer and more than 1,000 employees, their families and friends participated in a race or volunteered at an event.
Each race had at least one team captain responsible for spearheading the fundraising, as well as promoting employee participation in the races. Prior to each race, locations held fundraising activities, including bake sales, chili cook-offs, t-shirt sales and golf tournaments. First American salutes those champions who worked long and hard to make each of these events successful and we thank the employees, their friends and families who participated in a race. All race participants received a special edition Caring for Our Community t-shirt along with their very own super hero cape.
