From the article:
A potential ballot measure governing future growth in El Dorado County is in the process of signature gathering, but it may not be the only one voters will see this fall.
In all, six measures generally focused on county growth have been proposed, though some are more specific about one community or another.
Joshua Wood of the commercial construction advocacy group Region Builders also is working as executive director for one of those measures, Fix Our Local Roads.
That measure, Wood said, already has half the number of signatures needed to qualify for the November ballot even though the process of collecting them is only a couple weeks old. Among its key components are a requirement for the state to pay for any needed expansions to Highway 50, an annual report detailing how county money is spent, and extending Measure Y, which controls growth, from 2018 to 2025.
