Attention developers: The city of Mountain View will soon seek proposals for a prime patch of city-owned dirt located close to some of the biggest tech companies in the Valley.
The city will release a request for proposals in mid-January for the site, a 6.7-acre parcel at the confluence of three major transportation arteries: Highway 101, Moffett Boulevard and Highway 85. The city would lease the ground to the developer.
"We're looking for developers to submit proposals on what they would build there, and then what is their proposed ground lease, in rough terms,"said Randy Tsuda, director of community development for the city.
"We're interested in a mixed-use development, and one possibility would be hotel and office," he said.
