What will new owner do with surplus HP land in Roseville?

The 188 acres of surplus vacant land in Roseville that the Hewlett-Packard Co. Foundation sold this month is zoned for office and light manufacturing — and that is the way the city wants it to stay.

“We want to preserve that site for jobs,” said Chris Burrows, planning manager with the city of Roseville. The sale was recorded on Dec. 10 for an undisclosed price.

But the buyer of the property is notable for developments that include housing. Buyer BBC Roseville Oaks LLC is led by Stephen Des Jardins, who also runs Diamond Creek Partners Ltd.
